Explorers are open Monday to Friday from 9am - 3.30pm (Term Time Only)

The morning starts at 9am, each child finds their peg and corresponding number/name and self registers on the board.

The morning consists of a mixture of free play and adult led activities which are tailored to the children’s interests. These are both inside and outside and we operate a free flow system where the children can come in and out as they like.
At around 10:30am we sit down for snack time.
At the end of the morning session, the children gather for song time, stickers and then we sing the “goodbye” song.
The parents and carers then come into the setting to pick their child up.
Those children staying or joining us for the afternoon. Then wash their hands ready for their packed lunch, which they bring from home.
We will also change and modify activities to accommodate the children’s interests during the morning and afternoon.
The afternoon session continues with activities carried over from the morning. Again, the activities will follow the children’s interests both inside and outside.
At around 3pm the children tidy up and then gather for a story, stickers and “Goodbye” song.
